Father Raja's Farewell Letter

Posted on July 15, 2019 in: General News

Greetings to you, People of God, Holy Cross Catholic Church from Fr. Raja

My Gratitude to My First Home D’Hanis-Hondo-Yancey, USA. Though it has been a short time, this time was a great blessing for me and was filled with opportunities to know the people, the culture and the tradition, to serve the people and pray with them. I am indeed blessed.

All praise and honour to God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.

There aren’t enough words to express the love and gratitude I feel towards the pastor, Reverend Anthony Bonela for his constant love, support and encouragement and the true gift of blessing.

I express my sincere thanks and appreciation to Judy Alejandro and Margie Ibarra for the time, work and heart they put into their serice at the parish office and the Church. It is highly commendable.

A profound thank you to Tammy Kossaeth, Liturgy Coordinator for the meticulous planning, organizing and managing liturgical celebrations and Rick Rothe for preparing the church and helping to set up the altar for regular mass with love.

A Big Thank You to the Acolyte Minister Sam Heinz for assisting the priest at the altar. Praying for your Diaconate ordination.

Sincere appreciation to choirs, altar servers, lectors, extraordinary ministers, ushers, for serving God and His people by assisting the priests and parish community in their worship and celebration of the eucharist.

I truly appreciate everyone’s effort and commitment to the Church. Pastoral council, Financial council, Altar society, Guadalupana society, Knights of Columbus, ACTS Core, Bible Study Groups, Rosary Group, Catholic Youth Organization, Cemetery Committee, Bereavement Committee, Helpers, and others.

Tammy Kossaeth for driving me from Hondo to D’Hanis to Yancy and reverse order. I remain ever grateful. Sam Heinz at times helped me to reach D’Hanis and return to Hondo. I can now drive confidently with a driving license.

Tuesday Breakfast, Wednesday Soup Dinner, Thursday Breakfast, First Dinner at Ranch, Meals at Seco Secret, at Ranches, at the Hall; tortillas, pancake with honey, bacon, scrambled egg, Mexican food and American food… great.. delicious... I appreciate your generosity and good will.

Bunco Game: Keep your laughter as you play the Game of Bunco… Ha…Ha…Haa.. Thanks a Million.

Looking forward to pray the Rosary at the NEW GROTTO.

In the end, I would like to express my love and thanks to all the parishioners, children, youth for your prayerful support and best wishes. May God bless you, protect you and be with you.

Yours in Jesus and Mary,

Fr.Jesuraja
