We are needing to form at least 2 teams (4 people to a team) to help with cleaning and disinfecting the church after each Mass. This would consist of cleaning pews, kneelers, door handles, etc. Parish cleaning teams must wear face masks and gloves while sanitizing. Parish will supply cleaning supplies. This Scholarship Program was designed and established to award two $500 scholarships. One will be awarded to a deserving child or grandchild of a Knights of Columbus, Council #7163 member in good standing. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, when many Catholics will go to mass and receive ashes in the form of a cross on their foreheads. The ashes will be from burned palms from last year's Palm Sunday. Ashes will be distributed at the end of each mass.  Mass Times Holy Cross Church: 7 am and 7 pm Immaculate Heart of Mary: 11:30 am     PLEASE NOTE: There will not be a Healing Service on this evening. This year, the Church will celebrate Catechetical Sunday on September 15, 2019. The 2019 theme is "Stay with Us." Those who have volunteered to serve as catechists will be called forth at the end of Mass to be commissioned for their ministry. Catechetical Sunday is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the role that each person plays, by virtue of Baptism, in handing on the faith and being a witness to the Gospel. Our Procession of the Palms will begin at the Grotto. Parishioners who plan on making the procesion on Saturday, March 24, please be at the Grotto at 5:00 pm.
