We have officially kicked off the On The Way - ¡Ándale! Capital Campaign. Over the last few months, with the help of lay leadership at Holy Cross and Immaculate Heart of Mary Mission and the Archdiocese of San Antonio, we have identified our most pressing needs as a parish and a mission. We have chosen to build handicap accessible restrooms in the church at Holy Cross and fix the church roof at Immaculate Heart of Mary Mission with our share of the funds raised through our upcoming On The Way - ¡Ándale! Capital Campaign. This is an exciting time for our parish and parishes throughout the diocese. This campaign will have a tremendous impact on the needs of our parish while also enabling our vibrant and growing archdiocese to address the bright future of the Church in South Central Texas.
As of September 19, 2019 we had the following contribution numbers:
Holy Cross: Total pledged: $117,745.00 Pledge goal %: 77.3% Participation %: 30.0%
IHM: Total pledged: 21,922.00 Pledge goal %: 78.6% Participation %: 32.4%
CAMPAIGN PRAYER
Heavenly Father, source of all that is good,
on Pentecost you sent the Holy Spirit to give your Church the courage to grow.
Today, may that same Spirit lead our archdiocesan capital campaign,
On the Way-¡Ándale! to foster your kingdom.
Keep us mindful that we are stewards of your gifts, making good use of all that you give us.
Motivate us to give generously of our resources that we may bear fruit pleasing to you
and be of true service to our brothers and sisters.
Give us vision, energy and courage to allow your Spirit to breathe new life into our community
as we work together in your name.
We ask this in the name of Jesus, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, forever and ever. Amen
